OVERVIEW
A connected digital ecosystem for discovering local arts, culture, venues, and community experiences.
I redesigned The Trops website in WordPress and helped shape the mobile app, and a clearer visual system across both products.

PROBLEM
How might we make a growing arts ecosystem easier to explore while preserving its distinctive community identity?
The previous site had inconsistent hierarchy, fragmented navigation, and a visual language that did not scale across web and mobile. The redesign needed to unify content, discovery, and brand expression.
RESEARCH
I audited the site architecture, mapped key discovery paths, reviewed the mobile product, and worked with stakeholders to identify reusable patterns for venues, programs, editorial content, and community touchpoints.

BRAND & STYLE
I translated the refreshed Trops identity into a flexible visual system spanning the WordPress site and mobile app, with reusable typography, color, spacing, cards, and navigation patterns.
LOW FIDELITY
Early wireframes mapped the full site architecture—Home, Platforms, Art Experiences, Exhibitions, About, and Contact—so the team could align on hierarchy and user flow before visual design.

HIGH FIDELITY
High-fidelity screens connected editorial stories, venue discovery, exhibitions, and magazine content with a clearer, more consistent hierarchy.

PROTOTYPE
Interactive prototypes defined mobile check-in, token rewards, venue discovery, and feedback states before engineering handoff.
LAUNCH
The refreshed website launched successfully and the mobile app shipped to the App Store and Google Play, creating a shared foundation for the full Trops ecosystem.
WHAT I LEARNED
Working across brand, web, and product reinforced the value of one coherent system: every reusable decision made future features faster to design, build, and maintain.
